Three hacks to get inspired

Published on 24 May 2023 at 19:51

How often do you find yourself stuck in front of your laptop with no inspiration whatsoever?

Deadlines are due, and your mind is blank.

Before stress strikes, consider these 3 hacks:

SWITCH OFF YOUR LAPTOP

Yes! That’s right! Switch it off. Stop the endless browsing through websites trying to put your design together. First, you must put your mind together, even though that sounds quite harsh.

Step out of your office or house and take a walk in nature, or even around your neighbourhood; they both work equally. Let the fresh air do its magic while you observe the world around you, inspiration could be in any insignificant detail just around the corner.

BLEND WITH PEOPLE

The people around us are an endless mood board that we have the opportunity to study every single day. When we interact with people, we expose ourselves to a vast array of gestures, colours, and shapes. Just allow your mind to sink into this information, and you'll find yourself with more inspiration in your luggage than you’ve ever thought of.

TIDY UP YOUR SPACE

It may sound like a voice from your childhood; however, it is easier to function and work in tidy spaces where everything has its place. Declutter your place, and this will eventually result in organising your mind.

Leave on your desk just the essentials, and pin all those little sticky notes on a board. Open your windows for a while and enjoy the fresh air. When you get back to work, you will certainly be more refreshed and motivated.

Keep in mind that there is no immunity to non-creative moments, and that’s totally fine. Yet, it’s up to you if you choose to dwell in this blank space or whether you decide to keep on moving.
